10-Minute Shooting Drill
Goal: accurate shots on target — placement beats power.
1) Stationary shots (4 min)
- Place ball 12 yards from goal/target. Plant foot next to ball, lock ankle, strike with laces. Aim for corners. 10 shots.
2) Dribble and shoot (3 min)
- Start 20 yards out, dribble toward goal, shoot from 12 yards. 8 reps.
3) One-touch finish (3 min)
- Have someone roll/pass the ball across. Redirect it into the goal with one touch. 8 reps.
Plant foot pointing at target. Eyes on the ball at contact. Follow through toward where you want it to go.
